I visited the dentist this morning after breaking a tooth last night, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. They were able to fit me in the very next day, which was a relief. As someone who’s usually nervous about dental visits, especially being 23 weeks pregnant, I was worried, but Dr. May made the entire process extremely comfortable. She was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive, making sure to prioritize my needs throughout. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for a compassionate and professional dentist.read more

The Define Dental team is simply the best. They are all so welcoming and lovely, make you feel calm and relaxed before your dental visit. Dr Bootes is amazing, took great care of me explaining what needs to be done. The hygienist Karolina is very thorough and gentle and it was an overall great experience! Love Define Dental. I found this practice about 2 years ago and they have been incredible looking after my teeth. I have had quite a few cleans, and fillings there and I love they are so gentle and caring. They know how sensitive my teeth are so every clean they continue checking in with me to make sure it’s not painful. The same with my fillings, they are so good at making me feel comfortable through the whole process. My kids really enjoy going here too. They are always treated so well and checked in on constantly. The best dentist I’ve ever been to! All of the staff are so kind and caring and make the process so easy and a great experience! Went in for my check up and clean. The Define Dental team were friendly and the 10 star waiting room was second to none! Dr May proceeded to do a thorough analysis and clean which was a much more relaxing environment than any previous dentist I have visited. She took her time at the end to explain what treatment was necessary and the teeth we needed to watch and maintain. Did not push any procedures but made sure to explain the options and benefits available to me so that I could make an informed decision. Saw Dr Michael Bootes. Not only is he a great dentist (I know what I’m talking about having been in the industry 20 + years), he is empathetic and patient and his nurse was really good. Fast, patient, kind, and efficient. The girls on the desk were extremely helpful and kind also. The cost was very fair. The place looks amazing. Not only new but really well set out. I’m really happy Ive found a great dentist. And I’m not a good patient. 🤣 I try my best. Having sat on the other chair for a long time. They’re all round an amazing team. 10/10. Dr Michael Bootes did an amazing job on my young boys tooth after having an accident at kindy and chipping his front tooth, we consulted with Dr Bootes in relation to the health of his two front teeth, because of his age we opted to have his tooth capped. Dr Bootes consulted with us and explained the whole process with my son. My son can be quite nervous with new things especially a trip to a dentist. Dr Bootes made him feel comfortable and relaxed and did an amazing job on his front tooth. As I have a fear of dentists, Dr Les Jabbour and his assistant Hannah, were amazingly patient, and re-assuring, to make the procedures for me possible. They were able to do root-canal therapy, without any pain relief. The total process is not completed, however I can assure everyone the next appointment will not be missed. The follow-up phone call, a couple of days later, as to how I was coping, was totally appreciated. Many thanks to Sima (dental hygienist)also for her help. Normally petrified of the dentist. However, had such a lovely and welcoming feel when walking in and greeted by the girls at the front desk. After a few traumatic dental experiences in the past, I made sure to research thoroughly to find a dentist that I could trust. I am very grateful to have found Les and Michael at Define Dental, they have both definitely changed my view of dental surgeries. They are both amazing dentists, very caring and always ensure that you are comfortabe. I had a wisdom tooth extracted by Les and it was so quick, efficient and painfree. I recently had major dental work (4 x root canals) by Dr Les Jabbour. Before the work started Les was very thorough in explaining what the procedure entailed, what he could do to get the best result for me, and above all else, he was very focused on what my expectations were. I was in the Chair for long periods of time and during this time Les and his staff were very caring, constantly ensuring I felt comfortable, asking me if I needed a break, if I needed anything etc. They showed absolute care and compassion throughout the entire process.I have been to a number of dentists and actually had two of these root canals done overseas (where I thought I would save money but the job was not done properly). Les seems to have a very delicate hand and undertook the procedure with minimal pain caused to myself. With such serious dental work I can only say I would not look past the team at Define Dental.read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I had to get my wisdom teeth removed and Lucy (from reception) organised to get this done the same day. Dr Michael Bootes and his assistant were very friendly and helpful. I've long had issues with the dentist chair, had one of those terrible experiences as a kid which left me avoiding visiting. Even in adulthood, no one has made me comfortable or taken the discomforts seriously. That is until I accepted that the sensitivity in my teeth had to go, after avoiding going for a check up for about five years. I would not hesitate to recommend the services of Dr May to anyone who may be looking for a really good Dentist.I had a crown inserted in one of my molars and it fits perfect! The procedure to have it fitted was seamless and top class. Prep work for the crown on my molar took some 90 minutes. With the right dose of anesthetic, I felt no pain. Dr May ran through the procedures and ensured that I was comfortable throughout the process. A temporary crown was fitted and it took them less than 10 days to get the actual one ready. I am so glad I found Define Dental to get all my work done! I was too afraid to go to the dentist (it's been over 6 years) but the staff here are so good at what they do. Saturday morning cracked tooth! Panic' Who will be open on a Saturday. New to the area my children go to Benowa High so it made sense to find a Dentist close to school. Define Dental..First Contact was Emma Exceptional phone manner and genuinely concerned for my well being.Yes' Doctor May can see you today. To good to be true! Emma is first to greet me with with a welcoming smile and equally friendly in person, also my dental assistant as well (Wonder Woman) Multi skilled and purely professional. OMG Dr May is a female dentist with the most calming influence and respectful demeanor. I can not praise highly enough to describe the treatment and professionalism that Dr May gave me. Once a full detailed examination was determined a crown was to be the best option. What needle ! Gentle and precise, Have you ever experienced a wedge in your mouth whilst the dentist works on you? Simply Amazing for fifty years I have whaled out of the dentist chair as if my jaw was dislocated. Then secondly Emma gave me not 1but 2 evacuation suctions when Dr May was drilling. Are you kidding me how much more comfortable was that with out swallowing saliva filled teeth dust . Please experience these simply differences that made my whole dental visit so much more pleasurable. Thank you very much for a truly different and memorable experience. Les and his team are incredible. They went above and beyond to help me out. Shortly after landing in the Gold Coast I soon discovered I left my old dental splint on the plane. Not only did Les and his team squeeze me into an appointment when I realised, they moulded it and fitted it the NEXT DAY to make sure that I would be able to make my flight back to Tokyo. Les and his assistant even stayed back well past closing time making sure that the splint was perfect.. and I mean perfect.. I've had 4 splints made before and this is the slimmest, most comfortable and easiest to use one I've ever had. Oh yeah.. they also gave me a discount! Honestly the nicest staff. I really didn't like the dentist beforehand and I was petrified of going after a few years of avoiding it, but after a few visits I relaxed a lot. They made me feel comfortable and did great work with my teeth. My mouth is healthier than it has been in years.read more

Dr. Les Jabbour has provided me with a level of dental care above and beyond anything that I have previously received. I have been a patient of Define Dental (formerly SPDC) for many years and during the time that Les has looked after myself and my wife, we have been given solutions to dental problems that no other dentist has even suggested and they have been permanent solutions!Most recently I had a troublesome tooth removed and the gum healed within 24 hours. I had been reluctant (and obstinate) about the removal of this tooth and Les had always been most forbearing. Now that it has gone, I realise that it should have been removed a long time ago.Les is, in my opinion, the best dentist in the whole world.read more

I have to say that going to the dentist is something I dread! However Dr Jabbour always makes it as painless (literally) as possible. I have been under his care for many years, but last week I could put off having a crown to one tooth and a restoration to the other no longer, anxiety set in. My treatment completed today I was pleasantly surprised when I was told ‘All done”. I couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. Dr Jabbour continually made sure I was comfortable and was able to sense if I needed a break. He always explains, in as much detail and as often as I need, what is involved and where he’s up to. His dental nurses are extremely competent, professional and pleasant. The front office staff always cheerful, helpful and efficient. If you are looking for a first class dentist, I cannot recommend Define Dental enough.read more

I had to have a tooth removed today. Was I looking forward to it? No!! Was I scared? Yes!!! The tooth and I have been together for 60+ years, so I was not welcoming it’s departure. When I was there Les took one look at me and realised I was fearful of what was about to happen. Les quietly and calmly sat me down and explained why the removal had to be done and what would happen if I didn’t get it removed, till I felt reassured. At the end he said it was still my decision whether to continue or not. Once I agreed the experience was painless and over so quickly I had to ask is he had removed the tooth yet? The concern that Les showed for me absolutely gave me the confidence to make this decision and that everything would be fine. And it was!! Instructions for care afterwards were given to me and have had no problems since. Thank you Les -I admire greatly the excellent teamwork this practice extends to their paitients.
