Your health and safety are our primary concern and this has always been our number one priority. With the recent Government mandate restricting dental practices, you may have questions and concerns about Coronavirus as it relates to visiting Define Dental.
As members of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) for decades and one of the first practices on the Gold Coast to be independently accredited we have continued on with that quality assurance tirelessly. This means you can rest assured our safety, hygiene and infection control protocols and practices are world class.
We have always, and will continue to be vigilant about protecting your health.
As well as following recommendations by the ADA, Chief Medical Officer of Australia, and the World Health Organisation we are also bound by decisions made by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC). The AHPPC has directed all dental practices to implement Level 3 restrictions.
What this means for you
All routine examinations and treatments are being deferred.
The vital role Define Dental has is to keep dental emergencies out of hospital emergency departments and so, until further notice, we will only be able to see patients (new and existing) with:
Fractured Teeth with associated pain; or
If you, your family or friends should need our help we will be at your service under these conditions.
Under instructions from the ADA and AHPPC, in order minimise the spread of COVID-19 and to best protect you and our team members we respectfully ask patients not to visit our office if they have:
For our patients with signs of cold or flu experiencing a dental infection, pain, bleeding or swelling we will focus on managing pain. Please do not attend the office but call us so we may work with your pharmacist and general medical practitioner for high level analgesia and/or antibiotics as the need arises.
You will notice some changes like hand sanitiser to be used on entry and exit to our office, chairs in our reception area being further apart for social distancing and the absence of magazines and toys to reduce surface exposure and touch-points. We are also staggering appointment times to minimise the number of people who may be present in our reception area at any given time.
If you have any questions please feel free to call us on 55972100 and follow us on our social media for updates and further information.
We wish you and your loved ones health and safety and those who have been directly affected by the virus a speedy and complete recovery.
Best regards from Dr Les Jabbour & the entire team at Define Dental
